B and I went and saw Cirque du Soleil last night (my birthday present from him).  I don't have enough words to describe how amazing it was!  Here are some pictures I found online since cameras weren't allowed.

It's playing in San Jose through March I believe and then onto New York.  If you live in the area, I highly recommend seeing it!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!  I'm spending today working on report cards.

We're Baaack!

We're home from our cruise and I'm back to work (B has 1 more week off, lucky duck).  It was extremely painful getting up at 5am on Monday, and I'm really trying to get back into the swing of things (work, laundry, cooking my own meals again*, etc.)
Now on to our trip!  We had an amazing time.  Here are some highlights from our trip:
+ enjoyed beautiful, sunny weather in Cabo
+ enjoyed a yard-sized margarita from Senor Frogs
+ received a free yard-sized margarita on our catamaran trip
+ did not puke!
+ bargaining at the flea market
- got extremely sunburned on my legs
+ will eventually turn into a nice tan
- experienced Mazatlan - dirty
+ enjoyed the beautiful weather in Puerto Vallarta by walking the boardwalk and having authentic Mexican food
+ went dune buggying up in the rainforest
- within 5 minutes of our tour starting, it began torrential down-pouring.  It didn't stop.
+ won $66 on the cruise slot machines
+ met a great group of people at our dinner table from New York

I hope everyone's having a great week so far.  We came home to cold, rainy weather.  I'm ready for summer already.  I overheard someone today say that there were only 71 school days left!

A Quarter Century

I just arrived home from work to find my husband making me a FABULOUS dinner, table set with flowers, and my birthday present taped under the dining room table.  In the envelope were tickets to see:

I'm so excited!  I've been talking about it to B a lot, and what do you know, he listened!  So many times men seem to have selective hearing, right? ;)

I just returned from getting the mail and opened my birthday card from my parents.  It was filled with:

$100 gift card to my favorite store

A night at the Grand Hyatt on Union Square (Friday)

Orchestra seat tickets for B and I (Saturday)

I'm so blessed and grateful to have such amazing parents.  I love you!  I cannot wait for an amazing weekend in the city, followed by our flight out Sunday morning for our cruise!

Welcome to Our Family, Oliver

Happy Friday!  This week has flown by, due to being extremely busy with work, meetings, and....a new kitten!!!  It was announced on Wednesday that there was a kitten found by some students at school.  No teachers volunteered to take him, so the next day the principal said he was headed to the pound.  I couldn't allow that to happen, so I called my mom to get her advice (my biggest fear was that our 2 other kitties would feel left out and sad).  She said they'd be okay, so the next call was to my husband.  He agreed without question (such a wonderful guy!)
I brought him home and we decided to name him Oliver.  He has been closed in the bathroom, just to adjust a little and sniff the other kitties under the door.  We went to Target and bought him a bed and some toys.  We've only had him 24 hours but are so in love.
He's off to the vet on Wednesday for shots, physical and neutering.  We're thinking he's about 8 weeks old.  He's very emaciated, so we're trying to begin packing on the pounds through healthy food.   Here are his first pictures:

Those who know me, know that I've loved the Dave Matthews Band for a good 10+ years now.  B has promised me tickets to their concert this summer.  Dave has such a sexy voice and the way he dances makes me happy.  This video made my day.
